1983 Australian Drivers' Championship

The 1983 Australian Drivers' Championship was a national motor racing title open to drivers of racing cars complying with CAMS Australian Formula 1 regulations. The winner was awarded the 1983 CAMS Gold Star.
The championship was contested over a six round series with each round held as a single race.
- Round 1, Cheviot Challenge, Adelaide International Raceway, South Australia, 10 July
- Round 2, Lakeside, Queensland, 23 July
- Round 3, Oran Park, New South Wales, 21 August
- Round 4, Sandown Park, Victoria, 11 September
- Round 5, Winton, Victoria, 16 October
- Round 6, Australian Grand Prix, Calder Park, Victoria, 13 November
Championship points were awarded on a 9-6-4-3-2-1 basis to the top six classified finishers at each round.
