- Frank Miller takes over from Gene Colan as regular penciler on Daredevil with issue #158.

- Alan Moore's first mainstream comic work appears in the Marvel UK title Hulk Comic #15, with the five-part "The Incredible Hulk" story featuring Dr Scarabeus (with penciller Paul Neary and inker David Lloyd)[1]
