- April 4, 1978: Manny Sanguillen was traded by the Oakland Athletics to the Pittsburgh Pirates for a player to be named later, Miguel Dilone, and Elias Sosa. The Pittsburgh Pirates sent Mike Edwards (April 7, 1978) to the Oakland Athletics to complete the trade. [1]
