1962 Australian Drivers' Championship

The 1962 Australian Drivers' Championship was the sixth Australian Drivers' Championship. It was contested by drivers of Formula Libre cars over a six round series.
- Round 1, South Pacific International, Longford, Tasmania, 3 March
- Round 2, Bathurst 100, Mount Panorama Circuit, Bathurst, New South Wales, 23 April
- Round 3, Lowood, Queensland, 3 June
- Round 4, Victorian Road Racing Championship, Sandown Raceway, Victoria, 16 September
- Round 5, Mallala Motor Sport Park, South Australia, 8 October
- Round 6, Australian Grand Prix, Caversham, Western Australia, 3 November
Points were awarded on a 12, 7, 5, 3, 2 , 1 basis to the first six placegetters in each round. However, only resident Australian drivers were eligible to score championship points.
The championship winner was awarded the 1962 CAMS Gold Star.

Patterson was awarded third place in the championship due to his superior placing in the 1962 Australian Grand Prix.
All positions below fourth place in the above table are probable rather than definite as the sixth placed finishers in Rounds 3 and 4 are not known at this stage.
