Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 195.12.16.210). Logging in does not require any personal details, and there are many other benefits for logging in.

When you edit pages:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such content or editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can click the edit this page tab above, type {{helpme}} in the edit box, and then click Save Page; an experienced Wikipedian will be around shortly to answer any questions you may have. Also feel free to ask a question on my talk page. I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia.Smee 19:24, 12 March 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Regarding edits to Chris Coleman (footballer)

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, 195.12.16.210! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule sportasylum\.com, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Shadowbot 08:35, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Please stop adding inappropriate links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and will be removed. Thanks. Shadowbot 08:40, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Please stop spamming Wikipedia. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing. Shadowbot 08:43, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Shadowbot 12:40, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

This is your only warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing their websites from appearing on Wikipedia and other sites that use the MediaWiki spam blacklist at all. [edit] July 2007

This is your only warning.
The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Laurence Olivier, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing their websites from appearing on Wikipedia and other sites that use the MediaWiki spam blacklist at all. If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
I do not believe that the link was spam. It was actual footage from the film and does not appear to have been added for a commercial purpose, nor is that footage buried within adverts. [1] While I cannot speak for the editor above, the apparent past history of spamming from this IP (which may have come from other editors at this IP) may have influenced the severity of the warning. If you want to re-add the link, I suggest you first announce that intention on the talk page of the article. You also should correct the identification; the link you added was not the St. Crispin's Day speech, as you indicated. The St. Crispin's Day speech is set at Agincourt. The link you inserted was to the King's speech at the siege of Harfleur, in the previous act. Kablammo 12:45, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
