I think Depeche Mode are underrated too, but that's just an opinion. Wikipedia operates from a neutral point of view, so we need to keep opinions out of articles. --[kazikame] 14:44, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- Please do not add commentary and your personal analysis of an article into Wikipedia articles, as you did at Depeche Mode. Doing so violates Wikipedia's NPOV rules and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. [edit] List of best-selling music artists
Hi, please read the sources of any artist you remove from the List of the best-selling music artists. The sources on A-ha clearly state that their album+singles sales exceed 50 million. If you think the sources aren't reliable, please raise that concern on the article's talk page. Thanks. - Bobet 12:44, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi, since you seem to feel strongly about people trying to garner publicity for their favorite bands, I believe your time would be better spent looking through eg. Category:American musical groups and finding articles about bands that don't indicate any notability and then tagging them for deletion. You'd actually be doing something a bit more productive then. Thanks. - Bobet 09:14, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- If you do not think that the point about fans claiming higher sales is covered by '*Fan sites, press articles, certification authorities and record companies are also accused of inflating record sales for publicity reasons' then please create a discussion about it at Talk:List of best-selling music artists. If you continue to revert the page to your version without discussion, you may find yourself blocked for breaking the Three revert rule, which states that no one user may revert a page more than 3 times in 24 hours.
- Alternatively, follow Bobet's helpful suggestion above. --Robdurbar 09:54, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert a single page more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 21:29, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
