according to http://www.innsofcolorado.org/display-inn.php?id=136 , there was a crash in the price of silver in 1893 caused by the US government ceasing purchasing silver to support currency. is the wrong and thus does not belong on this page, is it just missing, or is this incident not notable enough?
at the very least, the [Panic_of_1893] article should be referenced here i would think..
