Talk:18610 Arthurdent
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page claims Felix Hormuth discovered Arthurdent. The List of asteroids (18001-19000) claims it was one 'Starkenberg'. Anyone know what the truth is? The Singing Badger 22:08, 3 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- No contradiction; Starkenburg (not Starkenberg) is the Starkenburg Observatory (Starkenburg-Sternwarte), Heppenheim, Germany, where Felix Hormuth (and others, such as Matthias Busch) work. What we need is a Starkenburg page identifying Hormuth as the observer when 18610 Arthurdent was discovered. Note that Klet also publishes more names in its pages than the MPC lists...
- This link establishes Hormuth as the discoverer, and also the one who suggested the name.

[edit] Date of naming announcement
If anyone cares, the online (paid) version of the Encyclopedia Britannica ALSO states that the name was announced on 10 May 2001. --JohnDBuell | Talk 16:41, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
