Talk:1824
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I have made some year layout proposals which would affect a significant proportion of the year pages: an example of proposed style is 1850. It is detailed on my talk page.
If no-one flags where I have put the discussion on my talk page that they object in a month I will start making everything consistent. It may take some time... --BozMo 10:38, 7 May 2004 (UTC)(talk)
[edit] Impossible claim
In the article, it reads "March 11 - The United States War Department creates the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Ely Parker of the Seneca tribe becomes its first director."
However, if you look at the article for Ely Parker, you discover that he was not born until 1828. A bit precocious of him to become the first director of the Bureau of Indian Affairs four years prior to his birth?
