[edit] References

I have revised the references applicable to this article because I am aware of earlier sources than stated and because wider reading of the subject matter indicates that one previously quoted source is not completely reliable on the social conditions prevailing in the period. I believe that the likes of Bowen and Birley in particular are more credible and that they should be quoted. The part played by the Brighton club in this period was quite significant and should be mentioned, as should the Montpelier club in Surrey. --Fiddlers Three 11:56, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merger

I wrote the original article and those covering 1801 to 1810. The dearth of cricket during the first decade of the 19th century, due entirely to the war, means that those articles will never amount to much and so it makes sense to merge everything from 1801 to 1815. --BlackJack | talk page 10:28, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
