- "Disruption of 1750": Howell Harris and Daniel Rowland quarrel, resulting in a lasting split in the Welsh Methodist movement.
- April 20 - George, eldest son of Frederick, Prince of Wales, succeeds his father as Prince of Wales.
- September - Richard Morris founds the Cymmrodorion Society in London.
- Richard Price Thelwall inherits his brother's Caernarfonshire estate.
- November 9 - Richard Trevor becomes Bishop of Durham.
- Howell Harris founds the Teulu Trefeca ("The Trefeca family")
- Frances, mother of Sir Watkin Williams-Wynn, 4th Baronet, purchases the Mathafarn estate on her son's behalf.
- Sir John Glynne, 6th Baronet, builds New Hawarden Castle.
- Lewis Morris is briefly imprisoned at Cardigan when the local squires challenge his rights as the Crown's local representative to mine for lead. As a result of the controversy, Morris visits London for the first time.

- April - Goronwy Owen becomes headmaster of the grammar school attached to William and Mary College, Williamsburg, Virginia.
- The Llangibby estate passes into the hands of the Addams-Williams family when the original Williams line dies out.
