I edited the mis information, posted here twice, that six men have recanted their testimony of abuse. This is simply not true. Only of the original 9 recanted. I personally know Mr. Vaca, Mr. Barba, Mr. Jurado, and Mr. Espinoza, and you can find their comments in many places on the internet reaffirming their stories and mentioning the current dedication of all the remaining 7 victims (one has since died) to bring Fr. Maciel to justice. If you have information about which of these men have recanted, please post it here in discussion before altering the text of the article, as that is the responsible thing to do.
