This template provides several optional ways of entering data which will display in a uniform consistent manner.

Some parameters are mutually exclusive, which is to say one option masks or overrides the other(s).

• In general, 'link' and 'name 'are mutually exclusive; 'link' is presumed to be ready to display, unless given with a pipetrick. If the pipetrick is specified, both link and name work identically, and attempt to build a link with the pipetrick, which means if the pipetrick is given the link can only be the name of a link. The parameter 'name', in the absence of a pipetrick displays as a literal, and can therefore contain a link or a paragraph, or page--and many links.

• Other parameters are logically 'ORed' which means one or the other (or the other) capitalization and spelling can be used, but only the one.

• note: books is a string literal, but controls logic and is very different in display place and behavior than 'book' which means '1st book'.
  

• imagename + imagediscription compose as [[Image:''imagename''|thumb|right|150px|''imagediscription'' ]], whereas 'imagelink' is a string literal and can contain several images, sized and positioned as desired. All image parameters are anchored BEFORE the body of the template text output, meaning the template text will wrap on the left of the image.
