You wrote It's unfortunate, however, that people fail to recognize homosexuality as a disorder. Some things are just wrong, and even if you think it's right doesn't give you the excuse to do it. Having the wanting to murder people is a disorder, but does that mean that person should be allowed to go kill whoever he/she wants? It's some food for thought. in that Wikipedia article, and I hereby challenge you to prove that having homosexual feelings is equivalent in harm to having homicidal feelings. Please note that Appeal to Authority is a fallacy, and definitely includes appealing to the Bible as well. Brush up on your logical fallacies, you're going to need to learn quick!

I have every reason to believe they're not equivalent in any way, therefore it's a red herring fallacy. Homosexuality is not a disorder by any stretch of the imagination (see DSM IIIR and IV as recognized by the APA. Homicidal thoughts are a recognized symptom of quite a few psychological disorders, however.

Another tactic is to examine the harm done in committing a consensual homosexual act versus committing a murder. It's plain to see that this isn't apples-to-apples or apples-tomatoes, but apples-to-computers to keep the analogy! They are leagues apart, and it's known that homosexual sex carries only the same risk of harm as normal heterosexual sex. Murder is as destructive as can be, so I call BS on your attempt at poisoning the well.

Check and Mate!
