[edit] Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe stats
Some of your recent edits to the Spider-Man's powers and equipment article have been reverted. It is against Wikipedia policy to include stats taken out of the OHOTMU. All of the various information used to make up the articles on comic book characters has been taken from the various regular monthly appearances a character has made in comic book titles over the years and is fair game. However, OHOTMU stats are found only within specific Marvel publications or in industry trade magazines, such as Wizard Magazine, with Marvel's permission. Since Wikipedia doesn't have Marvel Comics permission to use them, it violates copyright and could potentially result in Marvel suing whoever is ultimately in charge of Wikipedia. The fact that you took the stats from Marvel.com is irrelevant since the stats that were used to make up the Spider-Man article were taken from the OHOTMU to begin with.Odin's Beard 01:22, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Royal Knights
Please stop reverting my edits - I am trying to cover the events as much as possible without regurgitating the plot, which at the level you are doing, would count as a copyright violation. Unless it specifically describes the events or the character's personality, it should not be there - there is no need to say that Gallantmon managed to crack Niflheim, instead of just saying that he attempted to stop Sleipmon.KrytenKoro 01:43, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Why I keep reverting:
"Also known as the guardian deities who appear and gather at the time of greatest crisis in the Digital World. " Wrong. They are not deities, and they gather before then, often.
"http://shiningevo.ultimatedigimon.com/encyclopedia/digimon/alforce_vdramon.html" links to fansites are not allowed
"have have been" bad grammar
"two handed a dramatic defeat to" was it really that dramatic? can you back that up at all? Plus, wrong tense
"travelled" not only not a word, but wrong tense
"for Lucemon's revival." Lucemon is already alive, he's just trapped in the Dark Area.
"appear to be evil," The Royal Knights group do NOT appear to be evil - only the two depicted do, and they don't jsut appear that way.
"This is illustrated by Baromon's shocked statement that " one time the Royal Knights did fight for justice"" Horrible grammar
"the group is in fact meant to serve the purpose of keeping the Digital World safe" Again, horrible grammar
"Omegamon (Omnimon)" We used the american names for the other two, putting Omegamon in here is contradictory
"This begun after" Not only is begun not the word to use, but Project Ark included the destruction of the previous world
"reveals himself" He doesn't reveal himself, as he didn't know it himself.
"digimon. " Digimon is capitalized.
"BantyoLeomon, " BanchouLeomon is used in the rest of the article
"revolted against " revolted against means something slightly different
"So far, all members of the Royal Knights who have appeared have been Mega level Digimon, save for Magnamon, who is an Armor-level Digimon. In addition, all of the Royal Knights are classified as Exalted Knight type Digimon.[1]" This is in no way better than what was already there, and is in a few ways worse.
"with feather appearing on his back and OwRyumon being his the sword, the War Blade." "feather" is not plural, and they sprout from his wing-joints, not his back. "being his the" is atrocious.
"Long before the start of the series, he encountered and was defeated in battle by Suguru Daimon and BantyoLeomon just prior to their encounter with Yggdrasil." This is a fiction, so we must treat it as such - things are revealed - they do not "actually" happen before the series starts. "just" is extraneous, as well as "encountered and".
"and was able to overpower them," does not fit with the tense in the rest of the sentence, as well as what the MoS dictates. Also, the comma is incorrect
"evolving" this is not Pokemon
"upon Gallantmon's arrival along with" horrible grammar
"Craniummon and the other Royal Knights" completely unnecessary - just say "Royal Knights"
"entire DAT squad members," DAT SQUAD. DAT SQUAD. It's already describing a group.
"but they escape back to the human world with help from Sleipmon." the Royal Knights escape with Sleipmon's help? That's why I changed that sentence- you are implying that Sleipmon joined the other Knights.
"defence, " NOT A FUGGING WORD!
"and that the oath he followed was " "Cranniummon's Oath" is sufficient - oaths are followed, or else they are not oaths
"He struggled with this task, until Yggdrasil came to the Human World to destroy it." comma is incorrect, "up" is extraneous
"After Yggdrasil unveils his true plan, the Knights revolt and assist Craniummon who is having great difficulty keeping the Digital and Human Worlds apart after substained damage by Yggdrasil." THE KNIGHTS NEVER ATTACK YGGDRASIL!
"After the battle concludes with Yggdrasil defeated," Was the battle going to conclude any other way?
"an armor " armor is not a singular object!
"Crusdermon, " NOT A DIGIMON!
"Disintergrator" NOT A WORD!
"Gallantmon pursues them, and battles all of the DATS team." Except for Masaru and Agumon, who are talking to their mother.
"He easily defeats them, and prepares to finish them off in one attack," finish them off in one attack is just bad wording
"but Sleipmon intervenes aiding the DATS." again, horrible, incorrect wording
"Sleipmon uses his Odin's Breath attack in attempt to freeze both himself and Gallantmon." He DOES freeze the two of them
"Gallantmon trys to stop Sleipmon," trys is not a word
"but is unsuccessful, and the two Knights become frozen encased in a block of ice" frozen in a block of ice is sufficient
"and fall into the depths of the sea, alive but incapacitated." "fall into the sea" is sufficient
"He briefly appears again when Yggdrasil is expelled from Suguru's body." "and briefly reappears" is sufficient
"centaurine, " not a word (again, originally my fault, but I corrected it.)
"giving him greatest defense." horrible wording, and incorrect - heck, Yggdrasil has greatest defense
"intervenes " implies mediation or peacekeeping, which he didn't do - he merely interrupted
"He is later seen with Gallatmon at Mt. Fuji as Kudamon. " He is not seen - Kudamon is. We are already told he was turned back into Kudamon, that is enough.
"AlforceV-Dramon" Do you know how to read katakana? UlForceVeedramon is the same pronounciation as AlForceVdramon (which is incorrect (the A, at least)). The japname thing is for when the two names are legitimately different.
"the light and rare metal, "Blue Digizoid"" Lithium is a light and rare metal. Blue Digizoid is an alloy that is the lightest DIGIZOID, making light and maneuvarable ARMOR
"Savers is the first anime debute of UlforceVeedramon. UlforceVeedramon has currently made three minor cameo appearances in Digimon Savers -" I've already explained why this is wrong
There were three (3!) edits you made that were actually constructive. I asked you NOT to revert - this is your last warning. I will start issuing vandalism notices, as this is no longer just misguided good intentions.KrytenKoro 16:33, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] That's it
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Royal Knights, you will be blocked from editing. KrytenKoro
I'm not going to revert your changes - I promised on the project page that I'd just let them look over it, but no. I've left messages to you explaining why your screwing up the article, and you continue to make the same damn edits, over and over, all the while whining about "please read first". I have read first, every damn time, and you always make the same damn edits - the specific ones that I explained why they were incorrect on your talk page. I don't care how much you say it, you are NOT trying to be helpful - you're trying to be a passive-aggressive jackass, and I'm tired of it.
Have a nice day!KrytenKoro 19:28, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Most recent changes
"the Digital and Human Worlds apart" is actually better than what you changed it too, but quite honestly, just saying "then join Craniummon in holding apart the two worlds" would have been sufficient. Still, the Knights did not revolt, nor was Yggdrasil's plan "unveiled":
Exactly what happened was[1]:
The four knights show up, stand between cranniummon and Yggdrasil. ggdrasil commands the knights to destroy all the digimon. The knights ask why Yggdrasil is willing to abandon those trying to save the digital world. Yggdrasil gets pissed. Gallantmon shows up. Explains that Sleipmon taught him that Yggdrasil was imperfect. Yggdrasil attacks them. They guard. Yggdrasil breaks down, and its revealed that it is a computer model. Gallantmon does attack, to halt Yggdrasil killing the infants, but is sent back. The knights then immediately go to help Cranniummon.
There is one attack - however, it is hardly a revolt, which is a full-scale armed rebellion with the intent to overthrow the rulers - the Knights never ask for this. They just want a chance for the digimon to be allowed to help save the Digital World, and not be killed by Yggdrasil. For it to be a revolt, at least one of them would have had to have claimed Yggdrasil's throne. Hell, the Royal Knights are too stupid to truly revolt (they can't even come up with good reasons to just defy Yggdrasil).
"giving him great defense." My only critique with this is that it could be better phrased as "which provides him with great defense". It's closer to what the profile says in "He boasts of the great defense the Red Digizoid armor that covers his body provides".KrytenKoro 19:50, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

- You need to make sure you're adhering to the MoS - anything that's not actually a flashback needs to be in present tense, as that's how the audience receives it.KrytenKoro 23:53, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

- I took a look at your edits on other pages, and you seem to have the same lack of understanding for grammar on those. I would highly suggest that you request extra lessons from your English teacher, as it is fairly obvious from your edits that either you have a poor understanding of grammar (so you really shouldn't be claiming that as your reason for your edits), you're doing this as a joke (in which case you will be blocked), or your teacher has gone mad and decided to have you do this as an assignment (which, while a semi-valid exercise, doesn't explain why you're STILL doing it after repeated requests to stop).

[edit] Dragonic and Donning
Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 20:01, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Violations
"Dynasmon is a winged humanoid Digimon donning a dragonic suit of Chrome-Digizoid armor."
- Dragonic is not a word. I showed you the damn link, use it. Donning is also incorrect, and the suit itself is not draconic.
"A very chivalrous warrior who follows the bushido code."
- Sentence fragment #1
"Among the Royal Knights, he is known for his tremendous raw power, which contributes to his astonishing resilience."
- He is not known for raw power (which would be energy output), but for his physical strength. And its not astonishing.
"With his wings, he can fly at tremendous speeds."
- Who else's wings is he going to use? And the new setup combines those related clauses into one clean sentence.
"His ability to absorb an adversary's attack makes him a virtual juggernaut."
- No it doesn't, his ability to use the energy to empower his own attacks makes him dangerous. Just absorbing it makes him a good defender.
"However, Dynasmon can become easily swayed by the convictions of a stronger will."
- As Frontier shows, it does not at all. It is the sense of justice that he follows, and as he has one criteria, he is not swayed.
"This over-dominate willpower could compel Dynasmon to swear devoted loyalty to the ideals of their sense of justice, even if those ideals are rooted in evil."
- Over-dominate is not a word. It isn't at all. And he doesn't swear loyalty to their ideals, but to their sense of justice, which he already was loyal to.
Please, let's not start this fight again. If you need to, type the words up in word, and if they are disputed, actually open a dictionary or look at the original sources to verify that you are correct. Doing otherwise is against the rules of wikipedia, and will get you banned if you refuse to stop. Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 20:33, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Just wait, please
I'm excited that Aipom is going to evolve, but please, just wait for the episode to air. That's all I ask. Thank you. -Sukecchi (talk) 18:31, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
But All I would like to know is why wait when we already know that it will evolve, if you want to add more info on the episode then yeah I'm okay with it, but theres no reason why we shouldn't post its evolution, I don't see the harm in that!
How could it be wrong. the truth and reference speaks for its self, I think your kind of over exagerating just a bit! You just said a few comments ago that you were happy that it was going to evolve and now you say that it could be wrong, how else can you explain the glowing and evolving!
-
- No, what I said was that I was happy to see it might be evolving but it could be wrong. Just wait three days for the episode: that's it! Can you not wait three days? And also, whenever you revert the edit on Ambipom, you're adding back Vandalism that I removed. Please, just wait until Thursday, that's all. Please. -Sukecchi (talk) 22:08, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Alright then will do the three day wait!

Welcome to Wikipedia. Your recent contributions to Wikipedia are very much appreciated. However, please take a moment to review your contributions for spelling, grammatical, capitalization, and punctuation errors before you save. This message is not meant to discourage you from editing Wikipedia but rather to encourage the best possible writing from our authors. Please take a look at the Manual of Style and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Your continued poor grammar is tiresome. "functions as a bladed weaponry and projectile which absorbs surrounding spirit particles to strengthen its assault." It is already stated as an arrow. To "double as" something means it can be used as such without actually being it, just like Gordon Freeman's crowbar cna be used to kill things. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 03:09, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Death Note
Please read WP:WAF regarding fictional character information and what should/should not be included in list article. If by chance there are out-of-universe notes from the author about any of that info (e.g. The birthday of (character) is the same as the director or author's daughter, etc... just as one example) then it can be included with proper citations. Otherwise, straight forward personal character info like that is fancruft and not-needed. Read the WAF for the comprehensive guidelines and policies so edit-warring can be avoided. [edit] May 2008
When adding links to material on an external site, as you did to Naruto Uzumaki, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website's operator has created or licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement. This is particularly relevant when linking to sites such as YouTube, where due care should be taken to avoid linking to material that violates its creator's copyright. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:
-
- If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
- If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
- If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;
If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. Collectonian (talk) 23:34, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.

To prevent abuse, account creation via this IP address is probably also disabled.
If editing is required for class projects, please have your teacher or network administrator contact us (with reference to this IP address) at unblock-en-l from an email address listed on your school's website. Alternatively, if you have no Internet access at home, you may email us using your school-issued email address, telling us your preferred username. An account will be created for you.
