You know, logged out bots wouldn't be a problem if they'd re-allow anon-page-creation--69.118.235.97 13:16, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
Admins: Blocking this IP address disrupts the operation of several bots that provide important functions for Wikipedia. If a bot is operating anonymously and you need to block, please issue an anonymous-only block.
Attention:

This IP address, 145.97.39.143, is registered to Hemlock, Wikimedia Toolserver, and may be shared by multiple users. If the organization uses proxy servers or firewalls, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another and a block may be shared by many. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please see here.

If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user. Alternatively, you can list the IP at Wikipedia:WikiProject on XFFs.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be sent to your network administrator for further investigation.
IT staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

Werdnabot I presume?--AOL account 12:15, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Looks like it's the toolserver - see the http://tools.wikimedia.de/~flacus/IWLC/wiki.php?js=on page, which lead me to this talk page... Also http://www.samspade.org/t/lookat?a=145.97.39.143 seems to indicate a box inside the wikimedia cluster. I.e. werdnabot may run on that machine, but so may other stuff too. -- All the best, Nickj (t) 06:04, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

I go to watchlist,[1]lose login, get new message: this page is it. I log in, hit return to page, no such page. This is buggy. Seasalt 02:25, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

This is a joke, right? IP bots? Fredil 02:10, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
The bots that use this IP are normal, registered user accounts. The bot edits on this IP just mean one of those bots erroneously did not log in to its account. —Centrxtalk • 05:59, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Your recent edit to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept my humble creator's apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. [edit] Archiving of SSP

Hi, a bot operating from this address is trying to archive closed cases at Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets, but it's archiving the entire page instead, blanking it in the process. Rather than blocking this address I have semi-protected the sock puppets page. --Akhilleus (talk) 03:12, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Fixing at the moment. E talk 21:42, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
It has been fixed, but the login is failing so it's editing under the toolserver's IP address. This is currently being investigated. E talk 07:40, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Please do not delete content from articles on Wikipedia, as you did to Wikipedia:Abuse reports. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for test edits. Thank you. Oxymoron83 11:16, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
I know, I'm screwing up scope somewhere. --ST47Talk 11:17, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP:ABUSE - just a quick suggestion :)

Hey, 145.97.39.143. I noticed that you removed a request for a long time abuse investigation that I rejected. Thanks for the help, but the page has a bot that archives all the rejected requests, so you don't have to do this. Thanks for your time, and happy editing, ( arky ) 22:52, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

This is the toolsevers IP its a safe bet that, that was the bot. --Chris 11:10, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
