Thanks for your message. I think you're probably thinking of South Park City, an outdoor museum in Fairplay. The entire basin in that area, of course, is also known as South Park. However, I don't believe that either of those would qualify as "the town of South Park". Finally, the USGS Geographic Names Information System database[1] does not show a town named South Park in the area. So I stand by my reversion of your change.
You're welcome, of course, to see if there is a consensus otherwise. I recommend that you bring up the matter on the Park County talk page, since that's where Fairplay and South Park City are located.
