What exactly to you mean by 'unhelpful'? If someone has a song writen about them which is then sold on general public release, I would class that as relavent to 'Popular culture'. Futher more I did post the proposed edit in the Talk section before adding it to the main article. Follow the link I provided and you wil see it is all correct. You can't go around deleting articles just because you don't know the infomation and can't be bothered to verify it when evidence has been provided.
