[edit] Parana
Why did you delete my {{db-move}} from this redirect? Gene Nygaard (talk) 14:43, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your explanation. I suppose I should give my explanation, too. Yes, they should be crosslinked. What is now at Paraná is a disambiguation page, and Parana redirects to it.
- I'd like to move the disambiguation page to Parana but cannot do so since the redirect exists with an edit other than the one creating it. The db-move was intended to make room for doing that. The primary reason is that the disambiguation page should include both Paraná River and Paranã River, two distinct rivers either of which readers are likely to run across written as Parana in English and try to find more information about, and the English-alphabet spelling is correct for either of them, but Paraná is incorrect for Paranã and vice versa. If the move were made, Paranã might still redirect to Paranã River (in which case that article should have a link to the disambiguation page), but Paraná would still go to the disambiguation page through a redirect.
