[edit] Bigfoot
hello! thanks for adding a sighting to the Bigfoot article. i had to remove it (it's in that article's talk page) because you didn't give a source for the story. As you know, Bigfoot is a controversial topic, and we don't want more excuses for people to dismiss it on grounds of bad research. If you have a source, please go to the article and put it in. Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, one or more of the external links you added to the page List of portable software do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. I removed this link about your portable AMP application. The list is only for applications with their own Wikipedia article. • Lawrence Cohen 16:31, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
