[edit] SimpList deletion
In response to the post-closing comment you added (which was deleted as too late) to the AFD here:
- Reply I used to think the reason for Wikipedia was people sharing their knowledge about things, that they know for a fact, but you seem to have proved that you need to have a million references to something and need to have rock solid evidence for *every* word you put into an article, so if you wish to define something you need to buy webspace and make a website for it, just so you can make one page saying what it is. I also noted that no-one attempted to contact the developers listed in the project to verify any of the content written on this page. mrtechguy
Regardless of anything you've heard, that isn't what Wikipedia is. And this line: so if you wish to define something you need to buy webspace and make a website for it, just so you can make one page saying what it is. is actually false. If someone did that, they'd still get the article removed from Wikipedia. An article has to reference reliable sources to prove notability. Simply put, people from significant publications have to have taken notice of the subject and written about it on their own. Those are the rules. - Richfife 22:27, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- (Reply to post on my talk page) You don't need to be a publisher, you need simply need to have been published about in well known, reliable sources. Please read: WP:RS and WP:N carefully before continuing. - Richfife 14:28, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
