[edit] 1/10th SFG(A) moved from Bad Tolz to Boeblingen

The 1st battalion moved from Bad Toelz to Panzer Kaserne in Boeblingen (replace the oe with o umlauts or whatever), near Stuttgart, in the early nineties when I was stationed there.

[edit] Suggestions for improvement

Strengthen the introduction to make it clear that this is an active unit under SOCEUR. You already have a good start in "post cold war"; move some of that material to the introduction.

As far as missions, FID/MTT need a bit of explanation. I did start an FID article, which needs help if you are interested.

Do mention the Lodge Bill and its effects on 10 SFG; I think that gives much of the early character.

I saw you mentioned Gary Gordon as notable, which indeed he was. Did Randy Shugart come from a different SFG, before they gave their lives as Delta operators during the Battle of Mogadishu/Operation Gothic Serpent?

I've reworked the intro quite a bit, any further suggestions or plain old edits are more than welcome.
I've seen nothing stating that Shugart was ever in 10th Group. Everything I've come across states that he began in the Rangers, and transferred to Bragg when he went SF. Whether that was to 3rd Group or 7th, I don't know. As far as I can tell, he was always at Bragg.
I'll see what I can do for the FID/MTT explanations later on. I might take a look at the FID article if I get time at some point. Thanks for your help so far. Parsecboy (talk) 00:43, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Assessment

Reassessed article by request of Parsecboy and graded it as B class. There are several sections which would need to be fleshed out as well as a need for a wider range of references then just websites, etc... --dashiellx (talk) 01:11, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
