1000 Hurts is the third full length album by Shellac, released July 31, 2000 (see 2000 in music). It is Shellac Record #11. In its official promotional materials Shellac described this album as follows: "There are no 12-minute songs on this one. This record is more mean-spirited. Todd sings."

- The CD cover and box was shaped to resemble a box containing a reel of audio recording tape.
- The vinyl has engravings in the run-out groove of both sides - all written in CAPS: (1) "What's orange and looks good on Hippies" (2) "Fire".
