Description

051024-N-4374S-002 Atlantic Ocean (Oct. 24, 2005) - The Spanish frigate SPS Santa Maria (F 81), top, the Brazilian frigate BNS Rademaker (F 49), center, and the Argentinean destroyer Almirante Brown (D 10), steam in formation off the coast of Brazil. Naval forces from Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Uruguay and the United States are participating in UNITAS 47-06 Atlantic phase. This is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored exercise that enhances friendly, mutual cooperation and understanding between participating navies by enhancing interoperability in naval operations among the nations of the Western Hemisphere.
