030112-N-3537A-007 Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Va. (Jan. 12, 2003) -- The amphibious landing dock ship USS Portland (LSD 37) stands out of the harbor at the Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Va. Portland will be part of an amphibious task force which will carry the North Carolina-based 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade’s 7,000 Marines on an undisclosed mission.
