Talk:007 (disambiguation)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
When the vast majority of people type "007" into a search box, they mean James Bond. Shouldn't we be operating on the principle of least surprise? I say we direct and put a disambiguation link on James Bond. StarryEyes 03:55, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
- I obviously agree with this. I doubt many people will type 007 mistakenly looking for something not related to James Bond. It's too much of a well-known number. K1Bond007 04:54, September 3, 2005 (UTC)
- That settles it. Page will be moved. StarryEyes 16:30, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Requested move
When most people type in "007" into a search box, they're expecting James Bond, not a disambiguation page for all the wide uses of 007. See the discussion above. The idea is move this to 007 (disambiguation) and let 007 redirect to James Bond.

- Support, obviously. You can really count this as two votes per K1Bond007's remarks above. StarryEyes 16:39, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
- Support. How often do people refer to "the year 007 BC", for goodness' sake? Loganberry (Talk) 23:00, 3 September 2005 (UTC)

- Support and I'm going to remove 7 AD, 7 BC, and 7 (number) from the disambiguation page—that's just silly. Why no 07 or 0007 (or 004 or 005)? — Knowledge Seeker দ 02:33, September 5, 2005 (UTC)
- Support - common sense. Timrollpickering 10:42, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
- Support. 007 redirects to James Bond, naturally. – AxSkov (☏) 03:46, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
