Talk:…Baby One More Time
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I belive that this page should be moved back to "...Baby One More Time" as this is what the album is offically called and all of the pages link to the redirect page of "...Baby One More Time". Also the single is under the name "...Baby One More Time (single)". Ianblair23 02:14, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Oppose The punctuation is a designer's treatment on the album cover, and not actually part of the title. The song ought to be moved to Baby One More Time (single). —Michael Z. 2005-08-11 21:56 Z
It was requested that this article be renamed but there was no consensus for it be moved. violet/riga (t) 21:18, 20 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Keep article Formal
Things like exclamations points after sales numbers and subjective (and moreover incorrect) assertions such as stating 29 million copies constitutes as one of the biggest selling albums of all time are left for highschool discussions and not an encyclopedia.
Britney fansites that use the grammar of a 10 year old do not constitute as sources. The biggest selling debut album in history is that of the Backstreet Boys "Backstreet's Back" having sold 14 million in US and 32-33 million worldwide. Backstreet Back's more of a remix, release stateside than a seperate 2nd album. It is widely regarded as their debut album, just as fallen is regarded as Evanescence's eventhough they have had a past album. Editor18 05:46, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Hey isn't 29 million copies big for a debut album? I do. you're being biased.
[edit] Clarity
Can somebody clarify (for those of us not Billboard chart wanks) if the sales numbers refer only to Baby, to its several mentioned variants, to the other albums referred to, or what? Trekphiler 06:28, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Worldwide sales =
Her official web site says that it has sold over 25 million not 28. Kraft. 08:32, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
and the sales around the world need sources!
Who keeps removing the chart trajectories from albums? Stop, its useful info. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.241.238.78 (talk • contribs).
- No, it isn't. See WP:MUSIC/CHARTS. Also, see WP:NOT. --Yamla 20:10, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Singles section - OVERKILL
This is just way too much. Not only should these images not appear anywhere but on the articles for the singles, but they are way too huge and all of the information shown here should already be in the individual articles for the singles. All of this is absolutely not needed here - it looks like a fansite. - eo 17:28, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Confusing quote
The record has sold over 10.5 million copies and the United States but it's been certified 14x Platinum.
14x platinum means 14 million albums sold... Furthermore, the use of the word "and" is completely incorrect. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by TheKillerAngel (talk • contribs) 20:47, 11 April 2007 (UTC).
- The use of the word "and" might be incorrect, but so is your previous statement. 14x platinum means 14 million copies have been shipped in the US. Soundscan keeps track of sales (excluding club sales). I'm not sure where the 10.5 million came from but most likely it is from soundscan. Ayumi4u 21:47, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
- "...Baby One More Time" has sold 10.5 million (SoundScan) + 1.6 million (BMG Music Club). Then, 12.1 million copies has been sold. Kraft. 05:08, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
