The second season of Ídolos began on March 28, 2007. The show is broadcasted by SBT and has Thomas Roth, Carlos Eduardo Miranda, Arnaldo Saccomani and Cynthia Zamorano (Cyz) as judges, with Beto Marden and Ligia Mendes returned as host.

The auditions were held in the following cities:

Auditioning contestants were required to be between the ages 18 and 30.

[edit] Early Auditions

Júnior Artista, a bizarre funk composer and singer from Rio de Janeiro he auditioned in Florianópolis. His song "Seu Castigo" became a hit in the show, although he didn't make it to São Paulo, he promoted himself and appeared in a lot of TV shows.

Sylvia Penkuhn, a contestant from Blumenau, who claimed to have a "complete package", beauty, voice and style.

Clayton Follman, from Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná had a nice voice, but didn't make through because he sang a comedy rodeo song.

Olga Maria, was a very confident contestant who auditioned in Belo Horizonte. Her voice was ok, but she didn't make through for sing a cheesy old-fashioned song. She cried her heart out and almost passed out right after auditioning.

Thiago Zion who believed to be a messenger to humanity, and had visions of the New Era.

Caroline Dainlinger a "cheesy" (Brega) singer, wearing a spacy outfit designed by her brother, in scary wannabe sexy look. She rolled in the floor and danced as a tiger while singing. The production made a short music video of her dancing with tunderstorms on the background.

Kelly Kilo, a fat parody of Brazilian singer Kelly Key, auditioned in Campinas, São Paulo. She worked at a grape yard.

Kéllin Cristian, "the boi tatá" participant, was a teacher who auditioned in Florianópolis, she had a very imposted unique birazze voice who sang with her "eyes wide open".

Luciane Rodrigues, was a married woman, who auditioned just to make a move on judge Thomas Roth.

Maike Eversong, an ex integrant of boy band Domino who could not sing.

Cristiano Carnevale, the tenth place of the Brazilian version of Big Brother.

A total of 183 contestants made it to São Paulo. 96 were cut at this point, a few of which include:

Aracelle Fernandes, the red-headed singer who impressed Thomas Roth, and changed his vote, in her first audition, after singing with such emotion.

Bo Ram Gong, the sweet Korean contestant who sang Marisa Monte.


Washington Lima, from Salvador, Bahia, the guy who made very funny offensive songs to his mother-in-law.

Elias Araujo, the country singer.

Monik Paiva, was an alternative contestant, who was from Rio de Janeiro and auditioned in Belo Horizonte wearing a suit.

108 contestants remained at this point, where the contestants were put into groups.

33 contestants were dismissed, among them:

Cleidiane (Sandy) Souza the 'barraqueira' singer from Pará, who was in love with Ídolos 1 winner, Lenadro Lopes. She fought with her roommate Thamires, and had problem with the other contestants during the São Paulo week.

Paloma Souza the beautiful axé singer from Bahia who auditioned with her brother and sister, and was the only one who passed.

Renato Ronconi the red long headed metal singer from Santa Catarina.

74 contestants remained at this point, where the contestants sang on by one.

They were put in four different rooms, where one of the room was eliminated, in this room was

Tamiris Martíns, Cleidiane's roommate from Santa Catarina.

Hellen Caroline, the 19 years old girl from Taubaté, who was cut for getting to nervous while auditioning.

50 contestants remained at this point, 18 contestants left the competition, among them:

Paula Nicolucci, who was not denied for being confident, but extremely arrogant.

Elisangela da Silva the house maid from Florianópolis.

Aline Project the beautiful stylish African-Brazilian girl.

Vanessa Martins the country singer.

Márcio Oliveira who sang during the night to make a living for his family.

Daumielle Caldeira the crazy blond capixaba girl who auditioned in last season, was the last one to take the elevador along with Lenny and the last to be eliminated.
