Élan Luz Rivera is a Puerto Rico born African American Latin Hip hop singer who debuted in 2005 as one of the singers in the band The D.E.Y..

Rivera was born in Puerto Rico and raised in New York City. She made her first appearance on Broadway as Cookie in the musical The Capeman[1] in 1998, when she was sixteen years old. Later, in 2001 She met Divine, and went on to form The D.E.Y. in 2005 when they both met Yeyo.
