Çalıkuşu

Çalıkuşu, or The Wren, is the novel of Reşat Nuri Güntekin written in 1922, about the destiny of a young Turkish female teacher in Anatolia. This book was translated into English as The Autobiography Of A Turkish Girl, by Sir Wyndham Deedes.
In 1966, a movie was filmed on this book. It was remade in 1986 as TV series.
