Çağdaş Atan (born 29 February 1980 in İzmir) is a central defender playing for theGerman Bundesliga football team Energie Cottbus, transferred from Trabzonspor based in the Black Sea port city of Trabzon; the club is part of the Turkish Premier Super League.
He played also for Altay SK, Marmarisspor, and Denizlispor before signing for Trabzonspor on June 1, 2006, upon a transfer from Beşiktaş. At that time he stood 187 cm and weighed 81 kg. He has also played and scored for the Turkey national football team.
