He made his La Liga debut for Atlético Madrid in 2004 against FC Barcelona.
In 2004/05 he played a season on loan with Racing Santander.
Ángel was signed by Deportivo La Coruña from Atlético Madrid for €2 million in 3 January 2006.
Atlético Madrid bought him back according to a clause in the contract, but on June 21, 2007, Arizmendi was signed by Valencia on a six-year long contract.[1]
[edit] International career
In 2003, without playing any football at the highest level, Arizmendi was called up to the 2003 Under-20 world youth championships for Spain and was the golden boy after he scored a quarter-final extra time winner against Canada after coming on as a substitute.
He made his international debut for Spain in a friendly against England on February 7, 2007.
