¿Quien Eres Tú? (In English "Who Are You?") is the first single from Mexican pop singer María José's self titled solo debut. It was released on February 5, almost two months prior to the release of the album. It features American R&B singer Trey Songz.
The song was written and produced by Aureo Baquiero, who had produced hits by Ha*Ash, Lu, Sin Bandera and Motel.
María José performed the song in Otro Rollo, Mexico's most important show, and the most viewed in prime-time hours. Later, the song would also be used for several campaign ads by Televisa.
[edit] Chart Performance
The single took time to debut in the Mexican Top 100, but it finally did so the week of April 10 at 89, the week's highest debut. The song also reached a peak of 17 in the Mexican Pop Top 40.
After months of poor promotion, the song moved up and down in the Mexican Top 100, exiting and re-entering the chart time after time. Late in May 2007, however, the song started picking up airplay and sales, reaching the Top 10 in Digital Sales and the Top 50 in airplay. The song even managed to jump 22 places in the Mexican Top 100 via a 71-49 move.
