Born August 6th 1981,Michael Balogun, who goes by the stage name Tera has always had love for music. He grew up listening to artists such as Michael Jackson who is his favourite artist,Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, Marvin Gaye, Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston,Phil Collins, Madonna, Fela and Bob Marley. He attended Dog kennel Hill Primary School, where he started to develop his musical talents by playing the xylaphone, he was also a member of the school steel band. Being a great fan of Michael Jackson Tera would always practice his dance moves. Tera had the opportunity to show case his dancing ability to the whole school. Through this his popularity increased and he was known as one of the best dancers in the school.

In the last year of primary school he started rapping and had a great interest in this art form. He would rap other people lyrics, like Run Dmc, Vanila Ice, Grand master Flash, LL Cool J, Salt and Pepa and Kriss Kross.


He attended Sacred Heart Secondry School and by age 12 he started writing his own lyrics and his favourite rapper at the time was Snoop Doggy Dogg, but the inspiration to write were from tracks like "Brendas Got A Baby" by Tupac Shakur, "Good Day" by Ice Cube and "The Message" by Grand Master Flash.

After finshing secondry school he went to college and got his self a weekend job in order to pay for studio time. He produced a five track EP titled "First Assignment" all the tacks were produced by Tera, one of the tracks Millenium Jam had assistant producers, Swift-E and JAY from Birds of Prey ex members of the rhyme Wreckers. This EP came out summer 2000 and one of the streets favourite was "Terrorism" This recieved heavy spins on pirate radio stations.

With his ability to freestyle in a cypha and his love and enthusiasm for hip hop this was recognised by many, from the raw hip hop heads down to spoken word poets, Tera was well known in the underground circuit. Conspicuous, a member of a rap group by the name of Colony asked Tera to join the group in 2000.

By 2003 Tera left the group due to creative differences, he left on good terms and began working on his album Society Absurd. This was released August 6th 2004, single released was Karma which recieved heavy spins two weeks in a row on choice fm Jenny Francis, whoa fm, Genesis, and 1xtra.

In 2007 Tera joined a charity Organisation called Mr and Miss Black and Beautiful. This is to help keep young people in the community off the streets, setting an example as a young positive black male role model, Tera aims be an inspiration to them, show them his acheievements and help them to achieve goals.


April 16th 2008, the second album Correspondent From The Endz look out for this one it's big!
