Alejandrina "Nina" Sicilia Hernandez (born December 3, 1962) was the first Venezuelan to hold the Miss International title in 1985. Miss International (officially titled "The International Beauty Pageant") is the fourth largest beauty pageant in the world.

Nina Sicilia, representing Monagas State in the Miss Venezuela pageant, captured the Miss Elegance title, and placed as a finalist.

Successively Nina went on to compete in the Miss International pageant in Tsukuba (Japan) and won it in 1985.

Her father, who did pass away in 2005, was a Spanish emigrant who struggled to make her a graduate in Accounting, but Nina, besides obtaining her title, also did study the complete 10 years of piano playing studies at the Juan Jose Landaeta Conservatory of Music in Caracas. Many people believe that Nina family is italian, but it's not true. Both her parents are from Canary Islands, Spain.

In 1985 in Japan Nina was crowned Miss International ahead of the favorite runner-up, Sarie Nerine Jourbert of the USA. [1]

Actually she is married with two children. She works in Venevision as TV Anchor, and as manager in a Caracas marketing company.
